Ryan has been in the financial services industry since 2011. He is a Financial Planner, as well as an Investment Advisor Representative, offering clients a formal planning process coupled with cutting edge financial planning technology. Previously, he spent time playing professional hockey at the minor league level all across the country. He comes out of Marian University where he graduated at the top of his class in economics and finance with a minor in Information Technology and was also a two-sport college athlete where captained the hockey and golf teams. He was one of the only two-time Student– Athlete of the Year recipients and also the Financial Student of the year his final year.

Who are you at work?

At work I am totally and whole-heartedly there for my clients. I understand the trust clients put in me so I want to work as hard as I can to make their financial dreams and goals become a reality. I am a tech nerd so I bring a modern, high-tech way to financial planning for my clients.

What keeps you coming back to the office every day?

I love the fact that my job allows a good balance of interacting with people and digging deep into a complex financial problem to find a solution for client. This balance between the two usually means my day to day is never the same and keeps me on my toes to hone my skills.

Why do you do this type of work?

Sure, there is pride from the fact that you helped with a client’s investment portfolio or financial plan. However, the main reason why I do what I do comes when I work side-by-side with a client over time and actually make an impact on their lives through our planning. The way I work is not a one-time transaction but rather a series of conversations or meetings developing a plan that can span years. There is a sense of trust in one another that develops with this way of working and this is what I love most about my work.

Where are you from?

I am from Butte Montana originally. I went to college at Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI.

What do you do away from work?

Away from work I spend most of my time with my lovely wife, Bri, and dog, Lennox. We spend as much time as we can outdoors hiking, skiing, or golfing (granted we do love our movie times!) Hockey has been a big part of my life since I can remember as I even played in college and in the minor leagues. It taught me a lot about how to face the challenges of life as an adult so now I try to help the kids in the youth and high school organizations in my community learn those same lessons for life and love of the game.

Todd has been a Financial Advisor since 1997 and is the senior partner of the team. He has qualified for Chairman’s Conference, Presidents Conference and Leaders Conference a combined 18 times. Todd has also received the National Quality Award, and has qualified for the financial industry honor of Million Dollar Round Table. He holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) as well as the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) Designations from the American College. Todd is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Concordia University. He resides in Franklin, WI and has four children and two grandchildren. His main hobbies are boating, playing hockey and involvement at this church, Southbrook in Franklin.

Who are you at work?

I have a very down-to-earth personality with my clients. Investments and retirement planning can be overwhelming to some people. I bring an easy to understand style that brings more confidence to people’s finances. I am straight-forward about your situation, and use a ‘put myself in your shoes’ approach. While I am fun-loving and comical away from work, at the office I tend to be all business. I am beyond passionate about achieving your goals, and creating the right solutions to do so.

And away from work?

Away from work I love boating of all kinds. My wife Wendy is the much better fisherman! I love playing hockey, and Wendy and I are very involved at our church, Southbrook, in Franklin.

What keeps you coming back to the office everyday?

Simply; my clients. Because I am obsessive when it comes to my clients well-being, I thrive on being knee-deep in analyzing portfolios, and looking for ways to improve the estate plans, investments, and overall well-being of my clients.

When did you know you were making an impact in a client’s life?

One of my dear clients passed away some years back, after a stint in a nursing home. The children were so impressed with the way her long-term care protected the estate, with how well her investments did, and with how everything went so smoothly to transition those funds to the beneficiaries. They were not only grateful but became clients of mine as well. Many of my clients hug me after meetings because of the bond created when someone is looking out for them. I am truly grateful for them and their trust.

Where are you from?

I was born an raise in metro-Milwaukee. I joined the AirForce when I was 17. When I came back, I attended Concordia University, and upon graduating, started working in financial services. I live in Franklin.

How do work with clients?

As a Fiduciary, my clients know they are getting advice that is in their best interest. As an independent, I take this a step further, by not having an affiliation with any companies that reward their own agenda. We review plans/accounts every 6 months, an portfolios are monitored ongoing. Initial consultations are complimentary.
